Senior Executive/Assistant Manager – Public Relations and Marketing Communications

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the development and execution of the PR initiatives and activities identified as part of Port City Colombo’s yearly PR plan to foster a positive brand image of the project within the local and international market.
  • Executing the strategy, collaboration and measurement of PR and media relations campaigns as well as key partnership events.
  • Developing and managing positive relationships with local and international media to support the overall PR strategy of Port City Colombo.
  • Writing company press releases, statements and announcements that underscores the key messaging and positioning of Port City Colombo.
  • Coordinating media engagements (one-to-one or media familiarization visits) to build a positive brand image of Port City Colombo.
  • Assisting with monitoring media coverage (traditional and online) as part of the Company’s reputation management initiatives

Key Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent academic qualification in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to communicate in a second language including Sinhalese and Tamil, would be considered an added advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with international media is also preferred.
  • Possessing pre-established connects with key opinion leaders and local media would be an added advantage.
  • Must possess strong time management and organizational skills
  • Must showcase the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve identified PR objectives

Work Experience:

At least 5 years’ of working experience in a public Relations agency or a communications role in the Real Estate industry, Hospitality or similar work environment.
